Members of the Armed Forces and American Legion raise the flag before Saturday's parade on Main Street in Altamont.

The parade, which is part of the annual Longhorn Day7s celebration, was one of many events held from Duchesne to Vernal over the weekend to commemorate Pioneer Day.

The state holiday commemorates the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.
