This is a Copy of an email letter that I sent to Sheriff Travis Mitchell concerning the Altamont bike race on July 19, 2010.

Mr. Mitchell. How dare you yell at volunteers at the Altamont bike race! Not only did you disrespect those volunteers you really made yourself look like an idiot. Those people are the ones that helped to vote you into the PUBLIC office that you now hold. You are a total disgrace to the Sheriff's dept. There where a lot of people there commenting that you will never be reelected again. I'm sad to say to say that I was one of the people that voted for you, but I can promise you that I won't make that mistake again. Why don't you try using some tact or even try to be polite instead of trying to be a (heavy wanna be hitter) and saying and I quote "I AM THE SHERIFFS DEPT". You are just plain pathetic. You might be the Sheriff (for now) but that does not give you the right or the authority to treat people that way. Maybe you should try being a person instead of a power hungry wanna be. If you would like to discuss this or maybe even apolagize to my wife, you will have my email address when you recieve this.
