UBStandard is a daily news publication. You can read everything on this site without creating an account, and we collect as little information about you as we can while still running the site well. This policy explains what we do collect and why.

Information we collect

When you visit, our servers and analytics tools automatically record standard technical information: the pages you view, the approximate region you visit from, your browser and device type, and the site that referred you. This data is aggregated and used to understand what our readers find useful. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide, and use it only to send you the edition you asked for.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure readership and Cloudflare to protect and accelerate the site; both set cookies described in our cookie policy. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

How long we keep data

Aggregated analytics data is retained on the schedules of the services that process it. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email we send or by writing to us.

Your choices and rights

You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any part of the site. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Children

UBStandard is a general-audience news site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
